Family Services Ministry

 

New Family Member Instruction

The purpose of this ministry is to ensure that new members receive an engaging and complete orientation process.  Instruction will help members gain a comprehensive understanding of church operations, inspire participation in church programs, promote retention in active church membership, and enhance commitment to church ministry service through voluntarism.

 

Hospitality Ministry                                          

A commitee of dedicated Christian spirits responsible for providing services related to ensuring that new member’s feel embraced and welcomed as new members of the church family. The Hospitality Ministry is also responsible for providing a welcoming smile and hand to all who come to attend church services or events to make each person feel loved and appreciated.

 

Mother’s Board/Women’s Ministry

Mother’s Board       

This is an appointed group of saintly, serene, and seasoned mothers who provide loving teaching, encouragement, and direction to the women of the congregation. The purpose of the Board is to provide spiritual and practical counsel and advice to the younger women by meeting one-on-one with those in need of direction, by serving as role models in their personal walk or by giving Christ directed corrective counsel to young women acting out of the will of God. They are ardent supporters of and work very closely with the Pastor and First Lady.

 

Women’s Department

For women of all ages to come together for fellowship, spiritual growth, and fun.  Activities in this department provides a forum for women to meet to discuss the word of God and its application to their lives while seeking to build and maintain a Godly, healthy and lasting relationship with Christ.  It is purposed to provide a strong foundation of support for each other and for the church body.

 

Family Life Activities Ministry

Children’s Ministry

The mission of Center of Hope’s youth and teen ministry is to make each child’s experience at our church safe, fun, and profitable in the process of growing to become everything God has planned.  We provide biblical education, performing arts, and other enrichment opportunities for all children under the age of 12.

 

Teen’s Ministry

The mission of Center of Hope’s youth and teen ministry is to make each child’s experience at our church safe, fun, and profitable in the process of growing to become everything God has planned.  We provide biblical education, performing arts, and other enrichment opportunities for all teens, ages 12- 18.

 

B.O.M.B. Marriage Ministry

The vision of the Bone of my Bone (BOMB) marriage ministry is “Building Strong Families, One Marriage at a Time”.  The mission of this ministry is to establish and maintain marriages that are loving, living, have laughter, and last by providing marriage seminars, biblical teaching, activities, game nights, recreational outings, an annual event and crisis support.

 

Singles / Young Adults Ministry

This ministry provides training, Bible study and spiritual guidance to young adults in the church through regular meetings, prayer, sharing and fellowship.  The purpose of the Council is to develop godly disciples to be effective in their Christian walk with the Lord by equipping them with the spiritual tools necessary to walk upright in the areas of spiritual growth, service, support, and socialization. The forum also provides activities to promote singles and young adults to fellowship and socialize together in Christian environments.

 

Word Lover’s Academy

The WordLover’s Academy is one of the main teaching arteries of the church. It consists of Sunday School, which provides a learning environment in a small classroom structure by age, which enhances more individual participation and increased learning opportunities.  It is an evangelistic, missionary, and educational ministry with a focus on all ages.  Its mission is to provide the Sunday morning study in scriptures for the entire church and to make sure that the youth and young adults are included in study process.  Its purpose is to provide activities and teaching designed to develop and nurture spiritual growth and assures a comprehensive understanding of the scripture and its application to the Christian life. It also consists of our evening Bible Study classes for all ages.
